Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permitted for use in RACING on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes on the responsibility of using the bike as if on the track only, without a luggage rack, flashlight, and number plate holder or any other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any request for compensation will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair subject to return to GPR's factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in exchange for the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
