Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of any issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle solely as on the track, without bags, without a flashlight, and number plate holder or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
