Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
It fits even with original protection. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that might interfere with the changed throttle angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any request for warranty will be rejected. From the purchase, with the right of repair being returned to GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait standard time for repair.
