Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in races; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder, or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
