Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU legislation; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original or GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with local traffic regulations and for annual inspections.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If problems occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer accepts responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without a license plate holder, or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights through return to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
