Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If any problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or to watch visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without a bag, flashlight, or license plate holder or any other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
