Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents, not tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It's recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike only as on the track, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
