Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or anti-tampering screws, or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public roadway regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust is equipped with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without luggage, flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in product warranty loss. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one being repaired, the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
