Are db killers removable? Modifying db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Includes vertical Y pipe. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in its approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair, returning to the GPR factory or the nearest authorized distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
