Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, the right to repair with return to GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer's expense applies.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
