Are dbkillers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on dbkiller and the catalyst or the anti-tamper screws, or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with regulations for public road networks.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Side mounting No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or available tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the changed exhaust angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
