Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks, and using the open version on the road is non-compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or see tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as if it were on the track only, without luggage, without torch and number plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angles due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
