Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions. Each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
